Okay. I really hate it when a professor tells you that he or she is open to interpretation and intelligent analysis, then takes off points because you did not tell him or her what he or she wanted to hear (literally says so!!). Sorry. Just indulge me in this: Isn't that the purpose of education? Isn't that the way to further scholarship???

Side note: I totally agree with the grade I received on the exam paper. The problem resides in the commentary.
