Laundry, Sleeping, and Walking In the footsteps of Harry and Snape....

This morning I was too sleepy to get up in time for breakfast. So, I slept in for a little while and then got up. I had some fruit in my room, so I still had something to eat! Anyway, after all of that, I met with Rachel, the person who monitors our stay. All was well. Then, I decided to do some laundry. Really fun experience, I assure you. The washing machine and card reader (for money) was insanely complicated. The dryer wasn't much better. In the end, everything came out okay. I will try to post some photos of the laundry room sometime later...

I went out for a bit in the morning, but the need to sleep overcame me once again! In the afternoon, I took a large group to Christ Church and let them loose. Many of them were shrieking (literally) in excitement to be taking their pictures in the filming locations for Harry Potter.

Here are some photos...

Just inside the gates of Christ Church (right after you pay)...

Me in the dining hall (famous in HP as well!)...

After Christ Church, I wandered around and took a few photos in the city center.

Tower at St. Mary's Church on the High Street...(my favorite)...

A view of the spires that I had not noticed before. This is at ground level...

Also, I have meant to post some photos of the Worcester College dining hall:

Unfortunately, they aren't great photos, but it has been so cold and rainy here that I just wanted to sit down and eat something hot! I can't believe that in July I am wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a sweater! (And I am still cold.) The dining hall is very 18th century...soft green with lots of molding. Beautiful paintings. Delicious food---huge portions! I am stuffed.
